Saunton Sands―Where heaven meets the earth.

North Devon has some of the most beautiful beaches in England.  One of my favourites is Saunton Sands.  With its epic stretch of three and a half miles of golden sands and blue waters, with a dramatic backdrop of sand dunes, it takes the breath away, and often offers some glorious light shows.  Take a stroll along the beach to destress and find peace. It's also dog-friendly with miles of sand for your pooch to frolic. 

Swimming: This beach is very popular with surfers. Lovely for swimming when it's not too windy. But be aware, there are no life-guards on this beach and there can be dangerous rip-tides further out. 

Facilities: Parking (expensive,) small restaurant with lovely outdoor seating, showers and loos.
